About Richmond Brown

Richmond Brown is the visionary behind Enriched By Richmond. With over a decade of experience in the expanded learning and education sector, he is dedicated to enhancing student access to quality expanded learning programs. His leadership ensures that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially through afterschool and summer camp programs.

Richmond is currently the Director of Expanded Learning and Afterschool Staffing Solutions for Scoot Education a national educational partner working with school districts and charters schools around the country with the mission to "Matching great educators with the schools and students who need them most".

Richmond has served in various (impactful, meaningful, heart-work, purposeful and aligned to his purpose) positions before his current appointment as the Director of Expanded Learning and Afterschool Staffing solutions.

He has served as an Program Site Coordinator for the Charleston County School District for Ten Years, winning CCSD Site Coordinator of the year in 2019, Director of Culture (Ambassador of Culture) for Engaging Creative Minds, an Art Integration and Entrepreneurship K-12 Education Non profit, Executive Office Administrator & Project Specialist to the Superintendent of Schools of Charleston County School District, (Deputy Supt. and Chief of Schools), along with the ELOP Coordinator for Equitas Academy in Pico Union in Los Angeles, California. Richmond was highly sought after by an organization and served as their Associate Director of Programs. In that role, with a LA Expanded Learning Non-Profit, he was tasked originally with 3 school district partnerships which grew to him overseeing a total of 8 School districts partnerships throughout Los Angeles California by the closing of his term. All encompassing under Richmond's term, he served over a 100 Site Coordinator monthly leading out Organization wide Site Coordinator meeting and trainings, a total of 35 school campus, TK-8th Grade; 5 program managers, 4 Quality Assurance Specialist, 35+ Site Coordinators and over 335+ enrichment instructors and program staff.

In 2025, Scoot found Richmond and he has been aligned and on a mission since day 1 to ensure all Expanded Learning &Afterschool programs around the world have no waitlist (Vision of 2031), access to quality/qualified afterschool Educators and looking forward to the future of being able to collaborate with programs around the world to meet the moment in need.

What does a Creative Educational Architect do?

As a Creative Educational Architect, my purpose is to be a strategist, designer, facilitator, and connector for all things expanded learning (Afterschool) and educational leadership from classroom arrangement, collaboration with educators, student engagement, and afterschool program improvement. This mostly means I collaborate with amazing educators, make meaningful experiences, and speak about things we care about!

Richmond as the Creative Educational Architect is well verse in many things but is focused on supporting high-quality student centered experiences beyond the bell (Expanded Learning and Afterschool Programs), while investing in the support of staffs professional growth in the field (providing professional development and training) , and ensuring the connections of partnerships, families and committees (as an advocate for ensuring the best experiences for students) are strong for collaborative enriching impacts for all students in afterschool!

As a dedicated professional for over a decade of service to Expanded Learning, Afterschool and Summer Camp, Richmond would like to give back to the space that has given so much to him.

Richmond is a product of Afterschool Programs, extracurricular activities and got opportunities on occasions to a be a part of Summer programs with extraordinary talent care givers, who provided High-Quality Experience for me.

With that, I would like to offer that same experience to 10 students between my Hometown of Charleston, SC and my new home and community in Los Angeles, CA.

All funds raised will go to sponsor a child’s summer experience.

Yes! The school year is getting ready to launch and take off quickly and I am here to help make it take off smoothly! From classroom/Office decor and design (Doors, Boards, and More.) I will help you bring your classroom or office space to life! Making your vision come true! When should we meet with you?

Let’s Grab Coffee, or Jump on a Zoom! Once you have a vision or goal, you are welcome to reach out and we can set an appointment and get started strategizing and creating the systems for success!!

At this time, Richmond is available by appointment only, and serving the state of South Carolina (Charleston Tri-County area, Columbia, and Rock Hill) and California (The greater Los Angeles area).

Do you provide consultations and what is the cost?

Yes, consultations are provided, you will be provided 15-30 mins of strategic planning -conversation of collaboration and goal setting (At no cost). You may select to be provided a follow up within 2 week to touch base to check-in on progress to keep tracking and also review goals and continue connecting and providing services.

When was Enriched by Richmond Started?

Enriched by Richmond became an LLC in July of 2022. As Richmond has always provided insight over the years, and served as a support in different capacities in his roles over the year, he believe many lives have been Enriched by Richmond over the last 15 years of service in education and the community.
